Breaking Down the False Sense of Security, Pride, and Intelligence Fronted by Many Melanated YouTubers
I've been pondering this for a while. And I think that it's about time that these particular people on YouTube be called out for their shameful actions regarding living in this society. But first, I would like to break down a lot of the rhetoric that some Black people use in order to secretly and subconsciously shuck and jive.
Anatomy of a Coon's Logic
Argument #1: "What about Black on Black crime?"
Purpose: To justify many of the racially motivated murders that are committed against Black people, such as Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, Sean Bell, etc.
Why it's bullshit: For all of that rhetoric about how Black people should solely focus on the atrocities in our communities (especially in Chicago) and IGNORE outside attacks, how many people have actually looked up ANY crime statistics?
*crickets*
Well, luckily I have, and have had some very interesting discoveries. It amazes me how we get into the "Black on Black" crime topic, yet no one has actually taken the time to look at FBI table 43a, or other crime stats for that matter. Hell, nobody is looking at the leading causes of death either. Are people afraid of doing research? Or are they afraid that they will find out that intraracial crime tends to be high with any race? What about the high amount of mass murders by White people? Not saying that we should ignore crime in our own communities, but come on, which is a more serious threat: homicide rates equating to approximately 35 per 100,000, or the militarization of the police? I say that it is about time that we retire this distorted myth, because it is a waste of energy and time.
Argument #2: "We are our own worst enemies."
Purpose: To imply that the conditions of Black Americans are PURELY that of their own.
Why it's bullshit: So apparently, slavery never happened. In fact, structural racism doesn't exist, no matter how much it's been exposed, right? Let me ask people who say this a lot a question: if indeed Black people are "their own worst enemy", then how do you explain this:
-How did the pyramids get built?
-How did the olmec heads get built?
-How come Black people have been on the planet longer than anyone else?
So indeed, if we are "our own worst enemies", how have we been able to survive for this long? Surely a race of people who constantly antagonize themselves would have perished a long time ago, right, especially with the invention of nuclear weapons? But hey, don't ask these guys that. They're too busy trying to kiss ass.
Argument #3: "You're promoting Black Supremacy."
Purpose: To villianize any knowledge about Black people that does not fit the American status quo
Why it's bullshit: In order for it to be "Black supremacy" (ESPECIALLY for it to be a so-called Black version of White Supremacy), several things have to happen:
1) Black people have to systematically be in control.
2) Black people have to set up a justice system that favors Black people no matter what.
3) Black people have to be economically dominant based on White/non-Black economic disenfranchisement, such as slavery.
4) Black people must constantly harrass and oppress (and even kill) White and/or non-Black people because of fear or for the sake of doing it, while secretly worshiping them.
5) Have economic gains solely based on economically sabotaging other groups of people.
6) Negatively exploit the environment (systematically) and blame it on "human nature".
7) Use media, educational systems, and other institutions to force everyone to conform to the status quo.
Now answer me this: do any of these things apply to so-called "Black Supremacists"?
*crickets*
Exactly. Besides, is it Black Supremacy when all that you demand is equal opportunity (truly) and economic solidarity WITHOUT outside interference (or even an interest in what other people are doing)? Maybe I'm the only person that thinks about these things.
Oh yeah, and another thing, do they know what the word Black even means?
Argument #4: "Why doesn't everyone just worry about themselves?"/"I'mma get mine, you get yours."
Purpose: To discourage any solidarity amongst Black people by looking at it as "burdensome".
Why it's bullshit: Have you ever heard of any great team winning solely with the efforts of ONE person? I don't mean having a start player. I mean completely with the efforts of ONE person within a team setting, time after time again.
*crickets*
Exactly. Not very likely. I hate to break it to you, but the Horatio Alger myth of rugged individualism that you've been fed is pure bullshit. Not saying that you can't make a comeup, but you have to realize that EVERYONE who has done better than us has had some sort of government kickback, as explained in this video. Just remember this saying, "No man's an island".
(As a side note, the whole concept of Black people being "crabs in the barrel" who are "their own worst enemies" did not begin until the assimilation process after the Civil Rights struggle[see number 10], which basically consisted of Black people begging White people for acceptance.)
Argument #5: "Black people need to quit complaining about slavery and forget about the past."
Purpose: To minimize the effects of slavery and systematic Racism-White Supremacy.
Why it's bullshit: Isn't it funny that such a traumatic experience (past and current) is blown off as "unimportant"? Imagine if we did that with things such as World War I & World War II? "Pfft. So what if millions of your ancestors died? You need to quit complaining about the past and pull yourself up by the bootstraps [veterans]!" Imagine how that would sound to military families (ESPECIALLY the ones that are ultra-nationalistic and patriotic)?
