1) Messed up legal system.

2) *America has a looooooooooooooooooooooong history of racial oppression against Blacks (ex. Crack epidemic, Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood, lynching, FBI assassinating MLK and Malcolm X).

3) It was in Florida.

4) Did I mention the U.S. is the new Roman Empire?















*Not true 100% of the time, but still pretty close.

Ways to Annoy People

-Hum Legend of Zelda songs nonstop.
-Clip your lawn with scissors.
-Burp loudly in a serious interview.
-Play the tune to the Mario Kart star invincibility at full volume.
-Moonwalk out of a busy public restroom.
-Twitch nervously on a high class date.
-In a difficult college course, ask stupid questions and pretend to be mentally disabled. Repeat this for the whole semester. Then, pass the exam and the course both with an A+.
-Quote every line from every commercial. Ever.
-Ask people what gender they are.
-Wear a Klan outfit to a Kwanzaa event.
-At a club/prom/homecoming, do the chicken dance to a club song. Then, b-boy to slow dances.
-Have 'uncontrollable' bouts of sneezing around someone's food.
-Dress wacky/tacky throughout the school year. Then on 'Tacky Day', Dress normal.
-Punch a person in the stomach, then buy them ice cream.
-Clasp your hands over your ears when you're done talking to someone.
-Come into the office on a random day wearing a kilt and playing Scottish bagpipes.
-Take sexual slang literally (ex: when your woman is ready for you to 'eat her out', show up to bed with a knife and fork and a napkin tucked in your shirt).
-If you are sharing a dorm with other people, set your alarm to 4:15 AM to the tune "Barbie Girl". Hook up the phone to stereo speakers turned at full volume.
-Show up to award shows in yard clothes. Do your yard work in dress clothes.
-If you're a female who is a 'bad chick', fart loudly as you seductively walk past guys staring at you.
-When eating a disgusting meal, happily exclaim that it's terrible. When dining at a five-star restaurant, spit out the food and grimace, stating that 'it's the best meal you ever had'. 

Why Jay-Z and Kanye West are Two of the Most Overrated Rappers Out Right Now

This might offend some people, but oh well.


A lot of people will hate to admit this, but Jay-Z and Kanye have fallen off. Sure, you could say that they're at different points in their career, but that's not a legitimate excuse for their lackluster efforts.  Below, I'm going to give just a few reasons why they're overrated.

1) They've proved that they can put out half-assed material and still get rave reviews.

Look at Pitchfork's review of Yeezus. Look at prettymuchamazing.com's review of Magna Carta Holy Grail. You see something odd about those reviews. The Yeezus album gets slapped with a 9.5 from a magazine/website that is usually pretty tough on music from potentially great rappers such as Jay-Z and Kanye. Meanwhile, the MCHG review was filled with negative criticism, yet gets a B-. Just those reviews alone signal that something isn't right. The satire below pretty much defines Jay-Z's 'effort':

2) Their fans are borderline sheep.

Look at all the praise that Jay-Z and Kanye get. Now try to say that they are overrated. You'll be called a 'hater', someone who 'just doesn't get them', or you'll be told off by someone else who'll say, "Why do you feel that they have to Rap about the same things at the beginning of their careers?"

You know who also gets talked about in this manner? Nicki Minaj, Lil' Wayne, and Drake (who I've already exposed). And just like with those three, people tend to look over their many, many, many faults. I mean, seriously, Nicki doesn't get awards because she's good, she gets awards because she's the only one that's getting attention. Name another female rapper out besides Nicki...............Exactly.

Anyways, the point that I'm making is that how come just because Jay-Z and Kanye West are actually great, people excuse whatever garbage they put out. They fail to realize that they can put out sub-par material because they know people are going go insane over it regardless. This brings me to another point.....

3) The praise is blatantly hypocritical.

Let me ask you a question: if Nas, Common, or Mos Def released something along the lines of MCHG or Yeezus (or even Watch the Throne), would they be heavily criticized for it? Yes? That's because they already have, numerous times. When you especially look at the careers of Common and Nas, Electric Circus and Nastradamus respectively, they weren't just smudges on their discography. Those albums almost ended their careers.

So let me get this straight, everyone can come down unapologetically hard on Mos Def, Common, and Nas, but Jay-Z and Ye get a pass. Why?

The majority of Jay-Z and Kanye West nowadays, in a nutshell.

In conclusion, I feel that a lot of the praise that those two get aren't deserved. Are they still potentially great? Yes. Are they 'untouchable'? No. I feel that deep down, way, way, way down, we know that Common is better than Kanye (at rapping) and Nas is a LOT better than Jay-Z at rapping (due to his consistency). The reason why we won't admit it is because

a) we don't want to pit Common and Ye and Jay-Z and Nas (again) against each other, and

b) Common and Nas are not as commercial (though just as marketable) as Jay-Z and Kanye.

This is why Nas has never won a Grammy. With that being said, I'm outta here (cue Pharcyde hook).

The "Rap vs. Rock" Argument is Stupid

This is a topic that has been  bugging me for a while. Every time you go on some sort of thread or video dealing with Rap music and/or the Rap vs. Rock, there is always someone who insists on bashing the ENTIRE GENRE based on a lot of watered down music (*cough*YMCMB*cough*). Even worse, people always seem to join in the 'fun', never really contributing any sound arguments to this (admittedly pointless) debate. I am here to iron out the confusion (at least some of it) about the argument.

Reasons why the argument is stupid

#1: Early Rap artists already fused Rock and Rap.

For Rock fans who insist on bringing up this argument, let me ask you a question. Have you ever heard songs such as Rock Box and Rhymin' and Stealing? How about the remake of the song Walk This Way? Exactly. 

#2: Both are forms of Black music.

Because of the shady media, people know that Hip-Hop music was invented by Blacks. What a lot of people don't  know is that Rock was also invented by Blacks. If you don't believe me listen to songs like Maybelline by Chuck Berry, Who Do You Love by Bo Diddley, and Long Tall Sally by Little Richard. Why is Rock considered white then?

Meet the most overrated musician ever.

So in other words, the whole "Rock vs Rap" argument stems from the poor assumption that Rock was originally white.

In conclusion, this argument is utterly pointless. Quit with this idea of a "rivalry" between the two. It doesn't exist.
